Yan Xiang (Han Dynasty)

Yan Xiang
Traditional Chinese 閻象
Simplified Chinese 阎象

Yan Xiang was a minister serving under the warlord Yuan Shu during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. He admonished Yuan Shu who was attempting to use the imperial seal to pretend to be emperor, by telling him the tale of King Wen of Zhou, who rendered service to the emperor, even though he possessed 2/3 of the land. But Yuan Shu believed in a prophecy that foretold his ascension and ignored Yan.
